Disney World Crowd Sizes in February

The Walt Disney World Resort crowds in February are among the lowest of the year, which is why it is a great time to visit. Generally, the weekends will be a little busier than weekdays, but the crowd levels are still manageable.

Toy Story Land at Disney World

You'll also want to watch out for Valentine's Day, Presidents' Day, and the President's Day long weekend. Crowds will most likely be high around this time.

If you plan to visit during one of these busier times, like Presidents Day weekend, I recommend purchasing Disney Genie+ to shorten wait times for your favorite attractions or staying at a Walt Disney World Resort hotel to take advantage of early entry into the Disney Parks.

Average Weather at Disney World in February

The weather is actually really pleasant at Disney World in February. The average high temperatures are in the mid 70s and the average low temperature is in the mid 50s. You can pretty much always expect a little rain in Central Florida, but February seems to be pretty mild when it comes to rain fall.

The monthly weather forecast for Orlando in February calls for sunny and partly cloudy days with a few days of light rain mixed in. Check HERE for a short term forecast.

What to Pack for Disney World in February

Knowing what to pack for a trip in February to Disney World is important. You don’t want to be unprepared and end up having to use your vacation budget on things that could have easily been brought from home with a little planning.

Make sure to check out my Disney packing list as well as How Amazon Can Save You Money at Disney and the Top 10 Items You Need in Your Disney Park Bag!

Here are a few things you might want to consider packing if you’ll be traveling to Disney World in February.

Pack an Umbrella, Poncho, and Stroller Protection

The weather at Disney World can be pretty unpredictable. Rain storms can form and dissipate quickly. It's a good idea to be prepared with a small travel umbrella or a poncho. A poncho can also come in handy to wear on rides like Splash Mountain (currently closed to be transformed into Tiana's Bayou Adventure) and Kali River Rapids to keep your clothes dry.

If you’re taking a stroller with you to Disney World, I recommend bringing a plastic shower curtain liner to cover your stroller while on rides and clothes pins to secure it. I did this when my son was in a stroller and it was a life saver!

Pack Sun Protection

The Florida sun can be brutal, even in the winter months. Be ready for the UV rays by packing some sunscreen and a hat. Also make sure your kids are protected too. Nothing ruins a magical vacation like a sun burn!

Bring Sunscreen to Disney World in February

What to Wear at Disney World in February

The mornings and evenings at Disney World can be pretty chilly, but the daytime temperatures can be fairly warm. This makes packing clothing for a trip in February a little tricky.

I recommend packing jeans or long pants to stay warm and comfortable during the cooler temperatures and a short-sleeved top. You'll want to bring a light jacket or sweater that can be kept in a backpack or worn around your waist during the way.

Disney World Theme Park Hours in February

Here are the projected hours for the theme parks of Disney World in February. As always, hours are subject to change, so check the Disney World website for updated information.

Ride Closures at Walt Disney World in February

February is generally one of the slower months at Walt Disney World. Because of this, Disney will usually close down more rides for refurbishment than busier times of the year. You can count on the future Tiana's Bayou Adventure (formerly Splash Mountain) still being closed in February.

For current ride closure information, head to Disney World’s website.

It will be mild. A light sweatshirt or sweater should be all that you need!
