If you know me, you know I love Disneyland. One of my favorite times at the Disneyland Resort is Halloween Time! Disneyland doesn’t cheap out on anything when it comes to celebrating Halloween at the parks. If you are wanting to head to Disneyland this fall, have my friends over at Get Away Today help you. They have discount Disneyland tickets and reduced hotel rates to make your vacation not only magical, but affordable! You can even use promo code MommyMouse to get an additional $10 off your Disneyland vacation package!

If you are debating whether or not you want to see Halloween Time at Disneyland, let me nudge you in the right direction. You NEED to go! Especially this year, there are so many fun additions to the parks that you really won’t want to miss.

First things first, the décor in the park is unbelievable during Halloween Time. Main Street, U.S.A. will be lined with Jack-O-Lanterns for the annual Pumpkin Festival. Take time to see each pumpkin, while munching on your own pumpkin flavored churro. You can also snap a picture in front of the giant Mickey pumpkin placed right in the middle of the street. Next, head over to Frontierland where you can see the Dia de Los Muertos skeleton display along with face painting and yummy Mexican-style treats.

Disneyland isn’t the only one getting a spooky makeover this year. Halloween Time is making its way over to California Adventure to keep the festivities going. Once you are greeted by Oogie Boogie and the Headless Horseman statue when you enter the park, head over to Cars Land. Radiator Springs will be transforming into Radiator Screams, complete with your favorite Cars’ characters dressed in their “car-stumes!”

If you want more to add to your Halloween experience, check out all the rides that get eerie overlays to add to the magic. Previously, only rides in Disneyland got makeovers for Halloween, but not anymore. This year, the Halloween ride overlays will also be featured in Cars’ Land. You can take a spin on Luigi’s Honkin’ Haul-o-ween and Mater’s Graveyard JamBOOree! Then head over to Disneyland to ride the classic favorite rides like Haunted Mansion Holiday and Space Mountain: Ghost Galaxy.

Don’t stop at the spooky décor and ghostly rides, treat yourself to some ghoulish grub while you are at the parks. If you want something a little sweet, there are plenty of options for you. Try out the Butterscotch Beignets, Cookies & Cream Mousse Coffin Cake, Ice Cream Nachos or the Apple Pie Funnel Cake. If something a little heartier is tickling your fancy, Disney has you covered. Give the Blackened Spicy Chicken Sandwich, Pulled Pork Dog, Pork Tamale & Cheese Enchilada or some delicious Pumpkin-Shaped Bread a try. No matter what tasty treat you decide to eat, your taste buds will soar!

If you are interested, take a night and head to Mickey’s Halloween Party at Disneyland Park. This is a separated ticketed event through Disneyland where you and your little can dress up and trick-or-treat with all of your favorite characters. You can see the Headless Horseman ride through Main Street, U.S.A. and even have the chance to see some Disney villains you don’t normally get to see in the park.
