Disney's Old Key West Resort Room Types
The resort offers both studios and villas for those who wish to stay onsite and also happen to be the largest rooms out of all DVC resorts. Studios sleep up to four adults with two queen-size beds, while villas can accommodate up to 12 guests.
Deluxe Studio
Deluxe Studios rooms offer plenty of amenities and provide an array of comforts such as two queen beds, a small kitchenette, and a private balcony or deck.
One-Bedroom Villas, Two Bedroom Villas, & Three-Bedroom Villas
Multi-bedroom villas are also available for larger families or groups traveling together. All villas offer a full kitchen, a washer and dryer, and have more spacious living areas.
One-Bedroom Suite Room Tour
For our family of 5, we chose a 1-Bedroom Villa. This room can accommodate 5 guests with a king bed, a pull-out queen-size sleeper sofa, and a twin-size pull-out chair bed.
Living Room
The living area is very spacious with a chair and ottoman, couch, love seat, coffee table, and large television. The room is surrounded by large picturesque windows.
Dining Area
The dining are has a table with four chairs. Next to the table are shelves, a cabinet and a counter top. We used this area to store our park bag, ponchos, personal fans, and to charge our Magic Bands.
Kitchen
This room had full kitchen including a full-size refrigerator, microwave, sink, and a dishwasher. The kitchen was stocked with cookware and dishes. There was also an island with more shelves for storage, which is where we kept our snacks.
Laundry
Having a washer and dryer right in the room was AMAZING! I did a load of laundry almost every day. This way we were able to just pack carryon luggage and avoid the chance of losing checked luggage.
Bathroom
The bathroom was split into two rooms. One room had a sink and vanity, toilet, and shower. The other room had a vanity, whirlpool tub, and closet.
Bedroom
The bedroom was spacious with a king-size bed and nightstands on either side. There was a chair, a bench with drawers, a dresser, and a large tv.
Deck/Patio
The deck was large and had four chairs. There was a door to get to the patio from both the bedroom and the living room.
Pools at Old Key West
Disney's Old Key West has 4 pools for resort guests to enjoy. A large main pool with a water slide and 3 smaller quiet pools.
Hospitality House Main Pool
The main pool near the Hospitality House is the largest, and busiest pool. This is where we spent most of our time.
This pool has a Mickey Mouse-shaped water slide that runs through a giant sand castle. There is a spa, a kiddie pool, sand to play with, and a playground.
The main pool also has a sauna, located inside the giant lighthouse.
Quiet Pools
Old Key West Resort also three quiet pools at Old Turtle Pond, South Point and Miller’s Road. Each quiet pool has a whirlpool spa as well as a playground.

Fitness Center
The resort's fitness center is located next to the Hospitality House and offers plenty of equipment such as treadmills, free weights, ellipticals, and much more. The fitness center is open 24 hours a day and is accessible with your room key or Magic Band
Jogging Trail
The resort also features a 1.37 mile running trail that is perfect for those who want to stay active while on vacation. The trail winds through the grounds and passes by some of the pools, water areas, and golf course. It's a great way to explore the resort!
Resort Activities
Conch Flats Community Hall offers foosball, pool, video games, ping-pong and shuffleboard. This is also where you will check out equipment for tennis, basketball and volleyball.
There are also crafts offered at different times. My kids were able to tie-dye their own Mickey Mouse shirts, which they LOVED! We paid $36 for two shirts. Conch Flats is open seven days a week from 10:00 AM to 10:00 PM.
Campfire S'mores
Each night from 6:00 - 7:00 guests are able to make their own s'mores by the campfire. We did this one night and it was so much fun!
You can purchase a s'mores kit for $5 at Conch Flat Community Hall, but cast members had complimentary marshmallows, OREOs, and chocolate chip cookies that could also be used.

Good’s To Go is the resort’s quick-service restaurant. This is where you can find sandwiches, salads, hot dogs, snacks, and Mickey waffles.
Turtle Shack Poolside Snacks
Turtle Shack is the poolside food stand located near the Turtle Pond pool. This is where we would grab snacks such as chicken tenders, sandwiches, salads, and more!
Gurgling Suitcase Libations & Spirits
The Gurgling Suitcase is a Key West-style bar serving wine and domestic and imported beer. If you are hungry, the brunch and dinner menus from Olivia's Cafe are available.
Transportation to and from Disney's Old Key West Resort
The great thing about staying at a Walt Disney World Resort is the free transportation offered to guests.
Bus Transportation & Schedule
Buses are available from Old Key West to all four theme parks (Magic Kingdom, Hollywood Studios, Animal Kingdom, and EPCOT), as well as to Disney Springs. You can find the bus schedule for Old Key West in the My Disney Experience app.

The store also has a selection of groceries so you can purchase items to cook in your villa, but we found it more cost effective to order groceries for delivery to our room.
Old Key West Lobby
The lobby of Disney's Old Key West Resort is a great place to relax and enjoy the resort. There are many services offered here such as a concierge desk, business center, ticket sales and more! Check in at the front desk if you need any help or information.
Deluxe Resort Perks
Staying at A Disney Deluxe Resort has certain perks which may help you when you decide where to stay on your vacation.

All Disney Resorts, and a few Good Neighbor Hotels, are able to enter the theme parks 30 minutes before it opens to the general public to get a jump-start on riding attractions for the day.
Extended Evening Hours
For guests of Deluxe resorts like Old Key West, Animal Kingdom Lodge, Contemporary Resort, and Grand Floridian, you are able to get an extra two hours at select parks on select days.
During our stay, we had two extra hours at Magic Kingdom on Wednesdays and two extra hours on Monday. Check Disney's schedule for dates during your stay.
Disney's Old Key West Resort Review
Disney's Old Key West Resort is a great option for those looking to stay near Disney Springs. The resort offers spacious villas, plenty of amenities and activities, as well as easy transportation to all four theme parks.
What We Loved
We found it was great for families because we were able to spread out and not be on top of each other while relaxing in our room. We took an afternoon break each day to escape the heat and this perk was invaluable.
Having a washer and dryer right in our room was also one of the greatest things ever! I have seriously considered joining the Disney Vacation Club just so I can always have access to laundry right in my room!
The pool was amazing and the waterslide was a huge plus! We also loved the basketball court and jogging trail, which were great for staying active while on vacation.
What We Didn't Love
The only negative we can think of is that the resort is spread out and it can be a bit of a hike to get to the Hospitality House, depending on your room location. You are able to catch the bus and ride it to get within the resorts bus stops, which was nice.
Our room was located near Turtle Pond and we found it easier to walk to the Hospitality House and pool. This walk took us about 12 minute walk.
Final Thoughts
Overall, Disney's Old Key West Resort is a great option for those visiting the area. It offers plenty of amenities and activities as well as easy transportation to all four theme parks and Disney Springs. The villas are spacious and comfortable, making them perfect for families of any size!
If you're looking for a resort with all the comforts of home, Disney's Old Key West Resort is definitely the place to stay! Whether you’re looking for a relaxing getaway or an action-packed vacation, this resort has something for everyone.
