Disney’s Hollywood Studios after Reopening

For the first half of the day, we were able to ride the Twilight Zone Tower of Terror three times, Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster starring Aerosmith, and watch Lightning McQueen’s Racing Academy.

Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge

No day at Hollywood Studios is complete with out a visit to Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge. Also known as Star Wars Land, this area encompasses 14 acres and will immerse you in Star Wars Theming.

There are attractions, shops, and restaurants here that will truly make you feel like you are in a galaxy far, far, away.

Green Milk in Star Wars Land

Our favorite stop is the Milk Stand where you can get Blue or Green milk shown in the movies. My favorite is the green, but my family likes the blue. Tell me in the comments below which one you prefer.

Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run

Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run is one of the two attractions in Galaxy’s Edge. The other is Rise of the Resistance which happened to be closed the day of our visit because it had recently been struck by lightning!

Half the fun of riding Millennium Falcon is the theming in the queue. Disney pulled out all of the stops to give guests an amazing experience.

For the ride, Each member of your group will be given the job of pilot, engineer, or gunner and will sit accordingly inside the Millennium Falcon.

Each of these jobs requires you to push buttons and move levers to steer the ship, but don’t worry, they light up when it’s time to use them.

When shopping in Galaxy’s Edge, there is only one group or family allowed in each shop at a time. And don’t forget to wear your mask!

Star Tours – The Adventures Continue

Just outside of Galaxy’s Edge, you can have more Star Wars fun by riding Star Tours-The Adventures Continue.

This 3D motion simulator attraction will send guests on a trip to Endor, with your guide C3PO.

Vacation Fun starring Mickey & Minnie

Vacation Fun starring Mickey & Minnie is an animated short film that features fun vacations the Mickey & Minnie have taken. It’s a great place to escape the heat and take a break for a few minutes.

After the film, there is an area with life size versions of the animated shorts where you can take fun pictures with your family.

50’s Prime Time Cafe

50’s Prime Time Cafe is one of our favorite restaurants in all of Disney World! The decor is straight out of the 1950’s and the servers will hot hesitate to tell you to mind your manners and keep your elbows off the table!

The menu consists of homestyle entrees with choices like Aunt Liz’s Golden Fried Chicken and Cousin Harold’s Vegetable Garden.

My husband ordered Mom’s Old Fashioned Pot Roast and I ordered Cousin Megan’s Traditional Meatloaf, with the intent to share. But my husband loved the pot roast so much, sharing didn’t happen.

My boys ordered Grandma’s Macaroni and cheese and Grandpa’s grilled chicken. They each had a cupcake that came with tons of frosting.

You absolutely cannot eat at 50’s Prime Time Cafe without ordering a Peanut Butter & Jelly Milkshake. One milkshake was plenty for all 5 of us to share after our delicious meal.
