Deluxe Family Verandah Suite
For this cruise, our family stayed in stateroom number 8614, which is on Deck 8. As you walk in the room, there is a short hallway that has closets on one side and the bathroom on the other.

Bedroom
The main room has a queen size bed, with night stands on either side. There is a clock with usb charging ports, which makes it handy to charge your phone at night.

The mattress and pillows are super comfy. I always sleep really well when we are on a Disney cruise.
The sitting area has a couch and coffee table across from a desk and large mirror with plenty of storage.

Sitting Area
At night, the couch can become a bed, a bunk bed comes down from the ceiling, and there is a Murphy bed in the corner. But, more on that, later in the video.

The desk and vanity area has a few outlets where you can charge more of your devices, if needed under the mirror. Also, just so you are aware, there are no outlets in the bathroom, so if you want to use a curling iron, you’ll have to do it in the main living room.

This suite has tons of storage space. There are plenty of shelves and drawers here in the living room, as well as in the closets. There is also a lot of space under the bed to store your luggage during the cruise.

Next to the verandah, you will find the Murphy bed that will sleep a fifth person. Later in the video, I will show you what this looks like.
Split Bathroom
Staying in a stateroom with 5 people can be challenging, especially when it comes to sharing a bathroom. Fortunately, Disney Cruise Line already has a solution for this inconvenience.

Each stateroom, not just family verandah suites, have what is called a split bathroom. It is two rooms. One room has a shower, sink, and mirror. The shower features a rainfall shower head and also comes equipped with H20 bath products which smell absolutely amazing!

The second bathroom is where you will find the toilet, as well as another sink and mirror.

Stateroom Closets
The closets offer even more space to store your items and helps keep your room clutter free. One closet contains a rod to hang longer clothes and also stores the ladder that is used when the bunkbed is down at night.

The second closet has a rod where you can hang shorter clothing items, like shirts. There are also more shelves and an in room safe.

Verandah
Now for one of the best features of this room. The verandah. There is nothing like sitting out on your own private verandah early in the morning while enjoying the sunrise.

My husband won’t even entertain going on a cruise if the room does not have a verandah.

It’s fun to order room service and enjoy breakfast or lunch while watching the waves and you can also see spectacular sunsets in the evening.

Another great thing about having a verandah was that our room was located on the starboard side of the ship, which made it possible for us to watch the fireworks show, right from our room.

Night Time
While you are enjoying your dinner, your room host will transform your room for the night.

The Deluxe Family Suite has a Queen size bed, a lower bunk, and a top bunk, as well as a Murphy bed by the verandah doors. This room is the perfect size for my husband and I, and our three growing boys.

My youngest loved the top bunk, because the ceiling was decorated with stars and it had a light that would turn on and off when you clap.
