Ingredients for S’mores Graham Krispie Treats
- Rice Krispies Cereal (Crispy Rice Cereal) – the base of our no-bake treat.
- Golden Grahams Cereal – adds that graham cracker taste without the need for a campfire.
- Mini Marshmallows – for the gooey marshmallow goodness we all love.
- Unsalted Butter – helps to bind our sweet treats together.
- Vanilla Extract – just a dash to enhance all the flavors.
- Hershey Bars – for that authentic s’mores chocolate touch. Feel free to substitute with dark chocolate or milk chocolate chips for a delightful twist.

How to Make S’mores Rice Krispie Treats
[Step 1] Unwrap the Hershey Bars and break into squares. Set Aside. Remove two cups of marshmallows from the package and set aside. Spray a 9×13 inch baking dish with nonstick cooking spray or line with parchment paper.

[Step 2] Melt butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the package of marshmallows to the butter and continue to stir over medium-low heat until smooth. Remove from heat and stir the vanilla into the melted marshmallows.

[Step 3] Add the Rice Krispies and Golden Grahams to the marshmallow mix and stir to coat. Gently fold in 1 1/2 cups of the reserved marshmallows.

[Step 4] Pour half of the marshmallow mixture to the prepared pan and spread to the edges in an even layer. Place 2/3 of the chocolate pieces evenly over the cereal. Top with the rest of the cereal mixture and gently press to form the treats.

[Step 5] Place the remaining 1/3 of the Hershey chocolate squares over the top of the treats as well as the remaining marshmallows. Lightly place a piece of wax paper over the treats and press the marshmallows into the warm treats.

[Step 6] Allow the treats to cool, then cut into bars and serve.

Tips & Tricks for S’mores Rice Krispie Treats
- Opt for a large pot: This makes mixing the cereal mixture effortless and keeps it from becoming overly sticky.
- Grease with butter: A slight coat on your rubber spatula and hands makes managing the gooey marshmallows much simpler.
- Experiment with ingredients: Try milk chocolate chunks or dark chocolate instead of Hershey bars for a touch of variety, and consider adding teddy grahams for an extra bit of fun.
