Ingredients for Super Bowl Chili
*Ingredient amounts are located in the recipe card at the end of this post.
- Meat: For this Super Bowl chili, I used a combination of ground beef, and hot ground sausage, but feel free to customize this to your taste.
- Vegetables: This chili calls for chopped yellow onion, red bell pepper, green bell pepper, and minced garlic cloves.
- Tomatoes: Tomatoes are the heart and soul of chili and this recipe uses crushed tomatoes, tomato sauce, and diced tomatoes.
- Red Kidney Beans: I usually use Kidney beans in this recipe, but I have also used chili beans, pinto beans, and black beans as well with great results.
- Diced Green Chiles: To give the chili a bit of heat, I add a can of diced green chiles. Feel free to use mild or hot depending on your preference.
- Beef Broth & Soy Sauce: For some extra flavor, I use both beef broth and Soy Sauce in this recipe.
- Spices: For this Super Bowl Chili, use a combination of chili powder, beef bullion, cumin, oregano, smoked paprika, coriander, black pepper, and salt.
- Brown Sugar: Lastly, a little bit of brown sugar helps to balance out the flavors.
