Ingredients

*Ingredient amounts are located in the recipe card at the end of this post.

  • Premade Pizza Dough: This is the secret to fast, easy beignets! It saves time and gives that perfect fluffy texture. You can substitute with crescent roll dough for a slightly softer, lighter bite.
  • Oil for Frying: Use vegetable or canola oil for frying; it heats well and doesn’t overpower the flavor of the beignets. Avoid olive oil, which can be too heavy for these treats.
  • Powdered Sugar: Classic beignets are all about that powdered sugar dusting! It adds sweetness and the signature look. If you're out of powdered sugar, a cinnamon-sugar mix is a fun alternative!

How to Make Short-Cut Mickey Beignets

[Step 1] Lightly flour your work surface and unroll the refrigerated pizza dough. Use a Mickey Mouse Cookie Cutter to cut Mickey shapes in the dough.

[Step 2] Heat the oil in a frying pan to 350 degrees. Use silicone tongs to lower 1 or 2 beignets into the hot oil. Fry for 2-3 minutes, then use the tongs to flip the beignet over. Fry for an additional 2-3 minutes, until golden brown.

[Step 3] Remove the Mickey beignets from the oil and drain on a paper towel.

[Step 4] Add ½ cup of powdered sugar to a paper sack and shake the beignet in the bag to coat it with powdered sugar.

Enjoy your Mickey Beignets with your favorite dipping sauce (like this salted caramel chocolate ganache or this sweet cream cheese syrup.)

Ingredients

  • 1 Can Refrigerated Pizza Dough

Instructions

  • Lightly flour your countertop.
  • Open the can of pizza dough and unroll it over the flour.
  • Use a Mickey Mouse Cookie Cutter to cut Mickey shapes in the dough.
  • Heat the oil to 350 degrees.
  • Use silicone tongs to lower 1 or 2 beignets into the hot oil.
  • Fry for 2-3 minutes, then use the tongs to flip the beignet over. Fry an additional 2-3 minutes until it is golden brown.
  • Remove the Mickey beignets from the oil and drain on a paper towel.
