Ingredients
*Ingredient amounts are located in the recipe card at the end of this post.
- Pasta: I recommend using penne, rotini, or another similar type for pasta for its ability to hold sauce beautifully. If you're navigating dietary restrictions, don't worry! Gluten-free or whole grain alternatives work wonderfully here. Just remember, achieving that perfect 'al dente' texture is key to making your easy chicken pasta bake unforgettable.
- Cooked Chicken: Pre-cooked or leftover chicken makes this recipe a breeze. Feel free to use rotisserie chicken for added flavor.
- Alfredo Sauce: Store-bought saves time but homemade brings extra love to the dish. The creamy richness perfectly complements the garlic parmesan sauce. Whether opting for the convenience of jarred Alfredo sauce benefits or embracing the homemade route, the result is a budget-friendly meal that promises to satisfy.
- Garlic Parmesan Sauce: The star of the show, adding that rich, garlicky tang. Combine with Alfredo for a creamy delight. Use a bottle of store-bought sauce, or use this recipe to make your own.
- Mozzarella Cheese: Mozzarella cheese adds gooeyness and a mild flavor, enhancing the dish's comforting quality. For optimal melting, shredded mozzarella is recommended. Choose low-moisture or fresh based on your preference.
- Parmesan Cheese: Freshly grated elevates the taste. Pre-grated works in a pinch.
- Salt and Pepper: Essential seasonings to taste. Don't be shy with the pepper for a flavor kick.
