  • Onion Soup Mix: This will help flavor the ground beef.
  • Fresh Minced Onion: Adds a punch of flavor and that classic Big Mac taste.
  • American Cheese Slices: The melty, creamy cheese that brings everything together—just like in the original Big Mac!
  • Dill Pickle Slices: Brings the perfect tangy crunch to balance out the richness of the sliders.
  • Shredded Lettuce: Light, crispy, and essential for that signature Big Mac bite.
  • Dinner Rolls: Soft, slightly sweet rolls that serve as the perfect slider buns. Hawaiian rolls work great for extra flavor!

Big Mac Special Sauce Ingredients

  • Mayonnaise: The creamy base of the sauce that gives it a rich and smooth texture.
  • Sweet Pickle Relish: Adds a hint of sweetness and tang, balancing the flavors perfectly.
  • Dried Minced Onion: Provides a subtle onion flavor and a little texture, just like the classic sauce.
  • Yellow Mustard: Brings a mild tang and slight sharpness that ties everything together.
  • White Vinegar: Adds just the right amount of acidity to brighten up the sauce.
  • Paprika: Gives the sauce its signature color and a mild smoky-sweet flavor.
  • Onion Powder: Enhances the savory depth of the sauce.

How to Make Big Mac Sliders

[Step 1] Big Mac Sauce: In a small mixing bowl, whisk together the mayonnaise, sweet pickle relish, dried minced onion, yellow mustard, white vinegar, paprika, onion powder, garlic powder, salt and ketchup, if desired. Refrigerate until ready to assemble the sliders to allow the flavors to meld.

[Step 2] Place a piece of parchment paper on the bottom of a 9×13 baking dish or 10×15 jelly roll pan. Dice the onion a sprinkle over the parchment paper.

[Step 3] In a mixing bowl, combine the ground beef and onion soup mix. Spread the meat mixture out over the chopped onion in the baking dish to make a large patty pressed to the edge of the pan. (The meat will shrink as it cooks). Bake the hamburger patty at 400 degrees for 20 minutes.

[Step 4] While the meat is cooking, prepare the rolls by cutting them in half lengthwise and placing the bottom buns on a separate baking sheet or baking dish. Top the bottom buns with a layer of American cheese.

[Step 5] Remove the hamburger patty from the oven and reduce the heat to 350 degrees. Pat the meat with a paper towel to remove excess grease. Use two spatulas to lift the meat off the parchment paper and place on the cheese-covered bun bottoms.

[Step 6]  Unwrap and place the remaining American Cheese slices over the meat, then spread the Big Mac sauce over cheese. Then place a pickle slice over each bun bottom. Top with shredded lettuce. Replace the bun tops over the lettuce. Brush the tops with melted butter followed by the egg wash and sprinkle with sesame seeds.

[Step 7] Bake for 10-15 more minutes until the rolls are toasted and the cheese has melted. Allow the sliders to rest for 5 minutes, before cutting into individual sliders and serve!

How to Store & Reheat Leftovers

To store leftover Big Mac Sliders, place them in an airtight container and refrigerate for up to 3 days. For best results, store the lettuce and pickles separately to keep them fresh.

To reheat, remove the cold toppings, then warm the sliders in the oven at 350°F for about 10 minutes or in the microwave for 30–45 seconds until heated through. Once warm, add back the lettuce, pickles, and a little extra special sauce for that just-made taste!

Tips & Tricks for Making Sliders

  • Press & Bake the Beef Evenly – Spread the ground beef into a thin, even layer on a baking sheet and bake it as one large patty for easy assembly.
  • Drain Excess Grease – After baking the beef, drain any excess grease to keep the sliders from getting soggy.
  • Toast the Buns for Extra Flavor – Lightly toasting the bottom half of the rolls before adding the beef helps prevent sogginess and adds a delicious crunch.
  • Use Freshly Shredded Lettuce – Pre-shredded lettuce can be a bit dry, so chopping fresh iceberg or romaine gives a crispier bite.
