- Packaged Hawaiian Rolls – Soft, slightly sweet rolls that form the perfect base for quick, shortcut cinnamon rolls.
- Softened Butter – Helps the cinnamon-sugar mixture stick to the rolls and adds rich flavor.
- Brown Sugar – Brings a deep, caramel-like sweetness to the filling.
- Cinnamon – The warm, cozy spice that makes cinnamon rolls so irresistible.
- Powdered Sugar – The base for the sweet, smooth icing drizzle.
- Vanilla Extract – Adds a delicious depth of flavor to the icing.
- Milk – Thins out the icing to the perfect pourable consistency.
How to Make Hawaiian Cinnamon Rolls
[Step 1] Cut the Hawaiian rolls in half and place the bottom half in a baking dish. Set the tops aside.

[Step 2] Cinnamon Roll Filling: In a mixing bowl, combine the softened butter, brown sugar, and cinnamon until light and fluffy.

[Step 3] Spread about ¾ of the filling over the bottoms halves of the Hawaiian rolls. Place the roll tops on the bottom halves and spread the remaining filling over the rolls. Bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes.

[Step 4] Frosting: While the rolls are baking, beat together the frosting ingredients. Add the milk, one tablespoon at a time, if needed to reach the desired consistency.

[Step 5] Top the warm rolls with the frosting and allow it to melt off the sides. Enjoy!

Recipe Variations
- Nutty Crunch – Sprinkle chopped pecans or walnuts over the cinnamon-sugar mixture before baking for added texture.
- Caramel Drizzle – Swap the icing for a warm caramel sauce for a gooey, indulgent twist.
- Cream Cheese Glaze – Mix softened cream cheese into the icing for a tangy, bakery-style topping.
- Chocolate Lovers – Add mini chocolate chips to the filling for a sweet surprise in every bite.
- Tropical Touch – Sprinkle shredded coconut over the rolls before baking for extra Hawaiian vibes.
- Fruit-Filled – Spread a thin layer of pineapple preserves before the cinnamon-sugar mixture for a fruity kick.
