Ingredients

  • 1 ¼ Cup All-Purpose Flour
  • 2 Tablespoons Sugar
  • ½ Teaspoon Salt
  • ½ Cup Unsalted Butter cold, cut into ½ inch cubes
  • 3-4 Tablespoons Ice Cold Water

Instructions

  • Place ALL of the ingredients in the freezer for 5-10 minutes before beginning to prep.
  • Once chilled, sift all dry ingredients together, and cut in butter with a pastry blender or food processor. Make sure you work quickly to keep the butter from softening.
  • When the butter is the size of peas, add 3 tablespoons of ice water. If the dough is too dry, add up to one more tablespoon of water, a teaspoon at a time.
  • Place the pie dough on a sheet of plastic wrap and press it into a disc shape.
  • Cover the dough with the plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
  • Once the crust is chilled, go ahead and use it in your favorite recipe!
