Ingredients

  • 1 Tablespoon Olive Oil
  • ½ Medium Yellow Onion chopped
  • 1 Teaspoon Garlic minced
  • 1 Pound Ground Beef
  • ½ Cup Ketchup
  • 1 Tablespoon Yellow Mustard
  • 1 Tablespoon Brown Sugar
  • 1 Tablespoon Worcestershire Sauce
  • 1 Cup Shredded Cheese
  • Salt and Pepper to taste
  • 6 Hamburger Buns
  • Toppings: shredded lettuce diced tomatoes, pickles

Instructions

  • Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the onions until translucent, then add the garlic and ground beef. Cook for about 5 minutes until the beef is cooked through. Use a paper towel to soak up any excess grease.
  • Turn the heat to low and stir the ketchup, mustard, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, salt, black pepper and shredded cheese into the ground beef mixture. Mix until it is all combined and the cheese is melted.
  • Serve the Cheeseburger Sloppy Joe mixture on your favorite hamburger bun and top with shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes, pickles and even an extra slice of cheddar.
