Hot Honey Chicken Tenders

Ingredients

Hot Honey Sauce

  • ½ Cup Butter
  • ¼ Cup Honey
  • 3 Tablespoons Hot Sauce
  • Salt to taste

Chicken Tenders

  • 1 ½ Pounds Chicken Tenderloins
  • Cup All-Purpose Flour
  • 2 Teaspoons Seasoned Salt
  • 2 Teaspoons Chili Powder
  • 2 Teaspoons Garlic Powder
  • ¼ Cup Milk
  • 4 Eggs
  • 3 Cups Panko Breadcrumbs
  • ½ Cup Canola Oil

Instructions

Hot Honey Sauce

  • Melt the butter in a saucepan over medium-low heat. Add the honey and hot sauce. Add salt to taste. Allow the sauce to simmer for 5 minutes, until it thickens slightly. Remove from heat.

Chicken Tenders

  • In a shallow dish, combine together the flour, seasoned salt, chili powder, and garlic powder. In a separate shallow dish, whisk together the milk and eggs. In a third dish, add the panko breadcrumbs.
  • Working with 1 tenderloin at a time, dredge the chicken in the flour mixture; dip in the egg mixture, turning to coat. Then dredge in panko crumbs. Repeat with remaining chicken tenderloins.
  • Meanwhile, heat the oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Place the chicken tenders in the skillet. Pan-fry until cooked through and crisp, 4 to 5 minutes on each side.
  • Remove the tenders and place on a paper towel–lined plate. Repeat frying procedure with remaining chicken tenderloins. Drizzle the hot honey sauce evenly over the chicken tenders.
