Add the flour, salt, and baking soda to a mixing bowl and whisk together.
In the bowl of a stand mixer, or with a hand mixer, add the softened butter, white sugar, and brown sugar and beat together.
Mix in the eggs, one at a time, followed by the vanilla extract.
Add the flour mixture to the butter mixture and beat until combined.
Stir in the chocolate chips.
Place the cookie dough in a greased 9x13 baking dish and spread with a spatula.
Bake the chewy chocolate chip cookie bars at 325 degrees for 28-30 minutes, or until the edges begin to brown and the center is set.
Remove the pan from the oven and place on a cooling rack. Allow the cookies to cool before being cut and served.
