Gather Ingredients

To make Raising Cane's Bread you will need a loaf of white bread, softened butter, and garlic salt.

Slice the Bread

Slice the loaf of bread into 1 - 1 1/2 inch slices. You'll want thick slices of bread for this recipe or use pre-sliced Texas Toast.

Butter the Bread

Spread butter on each side of the bread then sprinkle garlic salt. Add as much or as little as you like.

Prepare the Pan

Heat a cast-iron skillet or frying pan over medium high heat. Melt butter to cover the bottom.

Toast the Bread

Add the buttered slices of bread to the heavy skillet and cook for 2-3 minutes until the bread begins to brown.

Flip the Bread

Carefully flip the slices of bread over and continue to cook the other side of the bread in the hot pan.

Repeat & Enjoy

Repeat with the remaining slices of bread adding butter to the bottom of the pan between each batch. Enjoy your bread!
