The Best Rice Krispie Treats

Ingredients

For this recipe you will need Rice Krispies Cereal, Mini Marshmallows, Butter, and Vanilla Extract.

Melt the Butter

In a saucepan over low heat, melt the butter. While the butter is melting, measure one cup of marshmallows and set aside.

Add the Marshmallows

Add the mini marshmallows to the melted butter. Continue to stir over low heat until the marshmallows have melted and there are no lumps.

Vanilla Extract

Remove the mixture from the heat and stir in the vanilla extract.

Combine Wet & Dry Ingredients

In a large bowl, pour the marshmallow mixture over the Rice Krispies cereal.

Mix together

Use a large silicone spatula to mix together the marshmallow mixture and the Rice Krispies cerea.

Add Extra Marshmallows

Add the reserved 1 cup of marshmallows to the mixture and gently fold in.

Press Into a Pan

Gently press the Rice Krispies mixture into a 9x13 pan lined with parchment paper or sprayed with cooking spray.

Allow to Cool

Allow the treats to cool and then cut into squares. Enjoy!
