Pretzel Ingredients

For the pretzels, you will need frozen dough, water, baking soda, and an egg.

1

Thaw the Dough

Thaw the dinner rolls on a baking sheet sprayed with nonstick cooking spray. My rolls thawed were ready in 3 hours.

2

Filling Ingredients

For the filling you will need softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract.

3

Cream Cheese Filling

Mix the cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla. Add the filling to a large ziplock bag or piping bag. Set aside.

4

Fill the Pretzels

Roll our two balls of dough into a flattened rope. Pipe the sweet cream cheese filling down the center of the dough.

5

Roll the Dough

Cover the filling with the dough on either side and pinch the sides of the dough and ends together so no filling is showing.

6

Shape the Pretzels

Shape the dough into a pretzel shape by twisting the two ends together, then folding it over. Pinch the ends of the dough into the pretzel.

7

Baking Soda Bath

Boil the water and baking soda. Add a pretzel and let it soak in the boiling mixture for 45-60 seconds. Remove and place on a wire rack.

8

Apply Egg Wash

Beat an egg with a little bit of water, then use a pastry brush to apply the egg wash to the top of the pretzels.

9

Air Fry the Pretzels

Spray the basket with nonstick spray and place the pretzels inside. Air fry at 350 degrees for 8-10 minutes.

10

Topping Ingredients

For the cinnamon sugar topping, you will need melted butter, sugar, and cinnamon.

11

Add the Topping

Mix the cinnamon and sugar together in a small bowl. Apply the melted butter to the pretzels with a pastry brush, then sprinkle with cinnamon sugar.

Enjoy the Pretzels

Enjoy your warm pretzels fresh from the air fryer! You can even add a dipping sauce like hot fudge, warm chocolate ganache, or caramel sauce!
