Gather Ingredients

For this recipe you will need sugar, flour, butter, eggs, molasses, vanilla, salt, baking powder, cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg, and allspice.


Butter & Sugar

Cream the softened butter and sugar in the bowl of a stand mixer.


Add Molasses

Beat in the eggs, one at a time then add the molasses, and vanilla.


Dry Ingredients

In a separate bowl, whisk or sift together the flour, baking powder, salt, and spices.


Mix Wet & Dry

Slowly combine the dry ingredients and the wet ingredients until cookie dough forms.


Chill the Dough

Cover and chill the dough for at least one hour to overnight.


Roll the Dough

Use a rolling pin to roll out the dough on a floured surface 1/4-1/2 inch thick thick. Cut into shapes with Christmas cookie cutters or a Mickey Mouse one!


Bake the Cookies

Place the cookies one inch apart on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat. Bake at 400 degrees for 6-8 Minutes.


Allow to Cool

Remove from the oven and allow them to cool on the baking sheet for 1-2 minutes before transferring to a cooling rack.


Make Icing

Make decorating icing with powdered sugar, milk, corn syrup, and vanilla. Decorate then dust with powdered sugar.
