Best Christmas Cookie!

Cookie Ingredients

You will need sugar, cocoa powder, flour, chocolate chips, butter, vanilla extract, vegetable oil, salt, baking powder, and an egg.

Step one:

Start with the dry ingredients. Whisk the flour, baking powder, and salt together in a large mixing bowl. Set aside.

Step two: 

In a separate bowl, mix the cocoa powder, sugar, melted butter, and vegetable oil with a paddle attachment. Then beat in the egg and vanilla.

Step three:

Mix together the dry ingredients and wet ingredients, being careful not to over mix. Gently fold in the chocolate chips.

Step four: 

Measure the dough with a cookie scoop and use the back of a flat measuring cup to gently flatten the cookies.

Step five:

Bake the cookies at 350 degrees for 10-12 minutes, then transfer to a cooling rack and allow the cookies to cool completely.

Peppermint Frosting

Beat the butter, then add the peppermint extract and powdered sugar. Add milk, if necessary, to thin out the frosting.
