Lasagna with White Sauce

This lasagna is made with a creamy bechamel sauce, layered with a delicious bolognese meat sauce and pasta. The absence of ricotta cheese allows the flavors to shine.

Red Sauce Ingredients

You will need chopped celery, carrots, onions, sausage, crushed tomatoes, beef broth, tomato sauce & paste, salt, black & red pepper, butter, olive oil, seasoning, and milk.

Prepare Red Sauce

Cook the sausage with the veggies, then add the spices, tomatoes, broth, and milk. Simmer on the stove while you prepare the red sauce.

White Sauce Ingredients

You will need butter, flour, milk, salt, pepper, and garlic powder to make a bechamel sauce.

Make the White Sauce

Make a roux with the butter and flour, then whisk in the milk and spices. Continue to whisk over medium heat until the sauce begins to thicken.

Lasagna Ingredients

To assemble the lasagna, you'll need the red sauce, white sauce, oven-ready lasagna noodle, shredded mozzarella cheese, and shredded Parmesan cheese.

Assemble the Lasagna

Spray the dish with nonstick spray and spread a layer of red sauce. Place the noodles on top followed by more red sauce, white sauce, and cheese. Repeat two more times.

Bake & Enjoy!
